Pearls and Mustard

Another thrift find like this pretty mustard cardigan will be abused again. I love how the color instantly brightens up my complexion as well, or... maybe that's just me.

Almost two years ago, our office had a very strict business casual dress code, hence, I had to gear up on formal accessories as well. I had tons of necklaces like this, pictured above. And now that the dress code has lowered down a few notches, I seldom had the chance to wear them. But last week, after sorting out all of my old accessories, I realized that I have to show them love once again. :)

Hope everyone is having a good day. :) ♥♥♥

Sunny, Rainy, Crazy

I can still clearly remember mentioning that I will let my shorts and skirts rest in my closet, since the rainy season has started in the country. But I'm pretty certain that summer just came strutting by this morning that I was forced to wear this sorta outfit to work. Yes, it was sweltering hot during my commute and guess what... when I finally arrived to my office, the clouds were already dark, which was partnered by clashes of thunders.

WELCOME TO THE PHILIPPINES, YA'LL! :P

So it's finally Friday! Yay! Can't wait to sleep a lot tomorrow. :D

Have a relaxing weekend to all.♥♥♥

Bargain Accessories!

See the VENTE tag? Yes, it's only 20 pesos! :D

Been looking for something like this for the longest time!

This is such a classic. I always use this to work.

Don't you just love mismatched earrings like these?! <3

Adorable 50-peso rings from Quiapo.

Would you believe that this is just for 50 pesos?

Love stacking this with gold or silver bangles. It just adds a pop of color.

Gloomy weather outside. Summer has indeed ended. And yeah, heavy traffic everywhere since the school year just started. I missed school. :(

Anyway, one way to battle the blues (at least for me ~ LOL!) is a little retail therapy. And discovering super inexpensive accessories like these is like celebrating my birthday and Christmas at the same time. :) I really wish I could get more, specially those 20-pesos earrings. They are really such great deals. Now I really need to get a nice accessory organizer (or maybe just make one?) to shelter my babies well. Suggestions? :)

Oh, and speaking of retail therapy... I just got 10 tops today from a thrift shop! Each only cost 80 pesos. I looooove that new thrift shop. Will definitely be back there soon. :) I just finished washing 'em so I'll be lazing around the whole afternoon while chatting online with the boyfriend who is at work. LOL. TMI?!

Anyway, I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. It's a long weekend for Filipinos today, but I guess not for me since my employer isn't Filipino. :( Oh well, will just look forward to the holiday pay. :D

Happy weekend! :) :) :)

I Hoped For Rain, Then a Storm Came

Last week, I can still remember being so affected by the scorching hot (almost feverish, mind you) kind of weather here in my country. It was so unbearable. Even trying to take a nap on a vehicle on my way to work is impossible. In addition to that, dressing up became a pain because IF ONLY I can go to work in shorts and tank, I will.

Yesterday, Sunday, it rained. No, it stormed actually. I woke up feeling a little chilly and instantly wanted to crawl back to bed. I really thought the rainy season has already started.

On the other news, I bought this mini-dress specifically for summer. Think flip-flops, stacks of bangles, a summer hat and a killer pair of sunglasses. But, I guess that idea would have to wait. I wore it today with a thrifted cardigan (that I LOVE) and black rights.

Oh and the bag is also thrifted! I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It only cost me 50 pesos (a little over a dollar) and the leather is still in perfect condition. :)

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. :) ♥♥♥

College Colors

This morning, I was reading some updates about my college through an online alumni newspaper. Gaaaaaaad, I miss my school. :( It's so ironic because it is now school vacation in the Philippines, yet I suddenly felt that itch to wear my school uniform (yes, I wore uniform in college), pack my pens and notebooks, see my classmates (the fun part!!!) and head to school.

Of course I can't do that. So as I dressed up this morning, I was sorta inspired to use my college colors in my outfit. The actual colors of my school are blue and gold. :) I don't have anything gold in my wardrobe so I opted for a yellow instead.

Oh and how convenient are cotton tshirts these days??????? I could wear them forever during summer! (Forever + during summer = ironic ~ LOL!) This blue cotton shirt is one of the most comfortable I own. I gotta get more in different colors. ^^

How's your summer? Hope everyone's doing alright. ♥♥♥

The White Button Down

 ... is LOVE!

It's been a while since I last blogged. My two younger siblings are on vacation now (they are still students), so every spare time that I have, I'd rather spend with the whole family. That's because we are really "whole" during school vacations. LOL! It's very rare for us to do that when the school year starts.

Well, enough of the drama.

This is a very comfortable button down shirt I scored from a thrift store. It is really very soft and the fabric is light and doesn't need ironing at all! :) I got this piece almost a month ago, and I just cannot help wearing it at least once a week. Talk about a versatile shirt! This is it! :) I've worn this with denim shorts, with a pencil skirt, as a cover up, as a (sorta) cardigan, and now, with leggings.

I'm also loving my flats as it is super soft in the inside... like Twinkies! LOL! Seriously, the interior of these shoes are cushioned so it feels like you are walking on a carpet. :)

I shoulda prolly took this photoshoot outside so my sunglasses could serve its purpose. But I don't have a tall tripod to use my camera with. :( Boo!

I have tons of these earrings in different colors. They are made of light-weight wood, by the way. :) Aaaaaand each pair only cost me 50 pesos (a little more than a dollar). *^^*

Hope everyone is having a nice day despite the super hot weather! :)

Grays and Studs

For the nth time, I have found a piece of clothing in my closet that I have already forgotten about. This skirt that I got from 168 Mall in Divisoria only cost me 150 pesos two years ago. :) And lo and behold, this is the very first time I wore it. :)

I have completely forgot that I have this and I'm really glad I found this again.♥ Can you see the details at the bottom of the skirt? It's so cute... at least for me, it is.

And oh, I coloured my hair with medium blonde. I used the one from Revlon Colorsilk. :) I LOVE the results!

Now for the (very simple) accessories:

By the way, this outfit is very much inspired by this wonderful lady from this blog. I am completely in love with her style, as well as the photos she shares in her site. And I really love the colour of her hair ~ hahahaha ~ I'm so shallow like that!♥

Happy humpday to everyone!♥♥♥

I Can Never Have Enough!

I got to work early the other day so I decided to kill some time in the nearest mall. Went straight away to an accessories shop just to have a look... yeah right!!! LOL As if I can do that! But you see, I only got just one owl necklace and a pair of bow earrings. Just that. I'm proud of myself this time. :)

Happy hump day to all.♥

Birthdays Should Be A Week Long

When we were kids, we always get excited when our birthdays are coming up. We just sit back and relax, and wait for whatever our parents prepared for us. Now that we're grown ups, all preparations are usually left to US, or to fellow grown ups (a.k.a. our dear friends). It can be fun and tiring at the same time. That's probably what made me busy for the past week. But guess what, despite all those conundrums, I still wanna spend my birthdays for a week long! :) No matter what, birthdays (whoever's) will always be fun.

As much as I wanted to spend all my birthday money shopping for shoes, clothes and bags, I have to stop myself because I now am saving up for something - *fingers crossed* - nifty! :) Oh heavens, wish me luck! :) Still, I decided to buy a few pieces of accessories, one of my weaknesses.

Aren't these such eye candies? *^^*

Have an amazing weekend ahead!

Naked Without These

Just like you, my heart melts once I enter a shop filled with interesting pieces of jewelries. It always does. If I had a million dollars, I'd probably spend a quarter of it on accessories alone. I am quite picky though, and there are certain accessories that I do not like much... like bracelets and bangles - not so much of a big fan, so I only have a few. What I have the most are earrings, which make me think: I should make a separate blog post on that. :D

Some of the pieces I acquired on the first month of the new year (so far! hahaha!):

Very classic. <3

Because butterflies are lovely creatures. :D

Chunky shell ring.

Connector ring. No, it's not from Forever21. :)

Turquoise = LOVE. Note to self: Get more! :D

Gotta have a purple pair <3

My go-to pair these days. :D

I saved the best for last. :D

One of my favorite verses. :D

The last is my favorite necklace at the moment. It sort of like a mini charm necklace. One of reasons I got it is because not only is the mini Eiffel Tower adorable, it also looks like a letter A... for Abbie. :D Yeah, I'm shallow like that. :P

Have a lovely Saturday, everyone! *^^*
