I See Stars

Tried belting the cardigan as well. Which is better? ♥

I love wearing cardigans. Most of the pieces I own actually came from thrift stores. I believe I only have a couple of cardigans that I got brand new from the mall. My reason being is simple: I like the selection of cardigans in thrift store waaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Plus, most are over-sized, which I love.

The cardigan and skirt in the photo are both thrifted. Who wouldn't love the beautiful star prints in the skirt. When I saw it in the thrift store rack, I knew I just had to get them. And since the fabric is actually see-through, I had to wear something underneath to hide what needs to be hidden. LOL! It does have a black lining on the inside but it's too short. Anyways, I still love 'em.

Happy hump-day to all! ♥♥♥

Pearls and Mustard

Another thrift find like this pretty mustard cardigan will be abused again. I love how the color instantly brightens up my complexion as well, or... maybe that's just me.

Almost two years ago, our office had a very strict business casual dress code, hence, I had to gear up on formal accessories as well. I had tons of necklaces like this, pictured above. And now that the dress code has lowered down a few notches, I seldom had the chance to wear them. But last week, after sorting out all of my old accessories, I realized that I have to show them love once again. :)

Hope everyone is having a good day. :) ♥♥♥

First Come, First Serve!

The lovely pearl details. They are perfectly stitched so it stays put.

I got this shirt from my favorite thrift store.

I was checking out this rack of clothes, which probably stretched about 10 feet long. While doing so, my eye caught glance on this shirt being checked out by another lady (who's actually dressed in a gyaru outfit - cute!), and was situated in another rack across the room. She intently looked at it, even tried to "fit" it by placing it against her torso. I was thinking, damn, I should've started with THAT rack first. Oh well. BUT THEN, my heart literally skipped a beat (okay, that was too much, but you get the point - LOL!) when she returned it back to the rack! Guess she didn't like it after all? Good for me, 'cause I do.♥

True story. :)

It's mainly the wet season here already, so my shorts adoring phase must be put into a halt. Will embrace my jeans and leggings for now.

Happy Thursday to me and you! ♥♥♥

Thrift Shop Love

I missed blogging sooo much! :) I missed reading my favorite blog sites, as well. Been so busy with my family for the past weeks. I love that my siblings are mostly home these days because of their school vacation. The entire household are usually out and about. *^^*

This is my recent favorite silk blouse I got from a thrift shop! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! My mom calls it a "granny blouse", though! LOL! I say it's my comfort blouse as I always grab on to this when not in the mood to actually dress up.

Oh and these wedges... ?
... I got them on sale! But no, they're not from a thrift shop. It's from Celine. I only paid half of its original price. :) Sweet! ♥♥♥

Hope everyone is having a great start of the week. :) And wow, the year is almost halfway done! :) ♥

If Gadgets Have Emotions

... then my camera would have said, "Whew!"

For the past few weeks, I have been contemplating into getting a new camera. There is nothing wrong about my current camera. In fact, I love it to bits! I have had it for almost eight months now and it never failed on me... ever! It has done its job really well. Actually, it really must because I think I read hundreds of reviews about this camera before I finally bought it. I was a well-thought-of purchase. It was not a very expensive camera but I just wanted to make sure that my money is well spent to the smallest peso.

Anyway, last night while tinkering on this little gadget, I stumbled upon a certain flash setting that I have never used before. (Yes, I don't read manuals that much.) Tried a few shots (of myself - LOL), and WHOA, I loved the effect. Take note that it was already late at night and my photo looked like it was taken at noontime - in a good way. The lighting was superb.

A realization came to me. I am already deciding on totally replacing THIS gadget when in fact, I have never really used it at its maximum capacity. I somehow felt sorry for it and I knew that if gadgets could speak, mine would probably thank me for still keeping it. I love my camera. And I will continue loving it as much as it loves me. I will still think about upgrading, but not very soon. Heeeheeee. I sound very shallow right now, I know. But seriously, how many times has this happened to us? With cellphones, laptops, or even clothes and shoes? Sometimes, our money's worth depends on how WE value the things we buy, not the value of the item itself.

I shall stop now. Emotional now.

Meanwhile, see my outfit (scroll up, scroll up!)? I'm loving my new navy blue cardigan which I recently bought in Baguio! :) It's sooo comfortable and loungy! And that UK flag shirt? I got it from a thrift store way back. I am very much in-love with it.

Happy humpday to all!♥♥♥

I Hoped For Rain, Then a Storm Came

Last week, I can still remember being so affected by the scorching hot (almost feverish, mind you) kind of weather here in my country. It was so unbearable. Even trying to take a nap on a vehicle on my way to work is impossible. In addition to that, dressing up became a pain because IF ONLY I can go to work in shorts and tank, I will.

Yesterday, Sunday, it rained. No, it stormed actually. I woke up feeling a little chilly and instantly wanted to crawl back to bed. I really thought the rainy season has already started.

On the other news, I bought this mini-dress specifically for summer. Think flip-flops, stacks of bangles, a summer hat and a killer pair of sunglasses. But, I guess that idea would have to wait. I wore it today with a thrifted cardigan (that I LOVE) and black rights.

Oh and the bag is also thrifted! I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It only cost me 50 pesos (a little over a dollar) and the leather is still in perfect condition. :)

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. :) ♥♥♥

Weather Must Be a Woman...

... crazy! I normally would wake up with an almost feverish temperature and would sleep in evening like it's snowing outside. I don't have problems with the temperature itself. My problems start when I am about to choose my outfit for the day. Should I wear something cool? (I usually leave for work at lunch time = HOT) Should I wear a jacket? (I go home just before midnight = COLD)

Almost all the time, I would end up with something like this:

Cardigan, floral shirt = thrifted; denim shorts cutoffs = Lee (DIY)

It's like summer in the morning and winter (ok, rainy season) in the evening. o_0

I Found A Mickey Ring!

I found this really cute Mickey Mouse ring from a random shop in my area. Another good thing is that I got it for only 50 pesos. :)

I bought 2. :) But I'll definitely go back!

This week is too dragging. I hope I can fast forward time to Friday. *^^*

I Came, I Saw, I Shopped!

A couple of weeks back, I saw this new thrift shop that opened near our village. It looks nice and clean but never really got the chance to check it out... until TODAY!

I was one happy lady once I left the place. *^^*

It was soooo hot when I left the house so I was sweating when I got back. But, yeah, it was all worth it! *^^*

How's your weekend? Hope you are all doing fine. ^^

Cheap Find: Belts

Went to the ever popular store Saizen to buy some cute nail polishes and just like what usually happens, I ended up buying more than what I planned.

In the men's accessories section, I saw these plain but nice looking belts. Then I told myself "I have to get these!"

I got a black and a brown belt. Only for 85 pesos each!!!

And here's me wearing the brown belt already. :D I know I have humungous legs but I don't care! LOL

Happy weekend, everyone! <3
