Just Like That

I know, I know... I will never pose this way again, EVER!!! LOL!

 ... so it's now Thursday!!! :D I couldn't be happier!!!

Ok, so that's a real sign that I really am stressed at work. I always cannot wait for the weekend to come. :( I love my job. I love my co-workers. I love my bosses. But come on, sometimes you cannot just love the fact that you have to go to the same office 5 days a week. Or maybe it's the kind of work that I do? I don't know. I have to stop blabbing now. But again, I still love what I do. ♥

Speaking of loving what you do, for the past few months, I've been contemplating about venturing into a new career. I am very, VERY, very much interested in make-up and cosmetics. I like putting make-up on myself and on other people. I have watched hundreds of tutorials, read numerous tips and tricks and practiced make-up application. Seriously, if I have the resources, I will enroll myself to a make-up school. But... yeah... I cannot do that now. I have other financial responsibilities that I have to face.

Ok... enough!!!

For now, I'll be enjoying the rest of the day... and day dream at the same time. ;)

I See Stars

Tried belting the cardigan as well. Which is better? ♥

I love wearing cardigans. Most of the pieces I own actually came from thrift stores. I believe I only have a couple of cardigans that I got brand new from the mall. My reason being is simple: I like the selection of cardigans in thrift store waaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Plus, most are over-sized, which I love.

The cardigan and skirt in the photo are both thrifted. Who wouldn't love the beautiful star prints in the skirt. When I saw it in the thrift store rack, I knew I just had to get them. And since the fabric is actually see-through, I had to wear something underneath to hide what needs to be hidden. LOL! It does have a black lining on the inside but it's too short. Anyways, I still love 'em.

Happy hump-day to all! ♥♥♥

Back to Basics

When I first got hooked into nail art a few years back, these would be the typical patterns I'd use for decoration. I sticked to that for quite some time, just playing with different colors. After some months, I got tired with it and resorted to the gradient color trend, which I think is really cute... and tricky to do.

Now that I went back to this "old design", memories of my early days in Youtube keep coming back that I checked out my channel inbox and found some really heart warming messages and comments. One subscriber even "reported" that another Youtuber used one of my pictures in her video and did not credit me. She sounded very concerned and even tried to bash the Youtuber for doing so. Of course I thanked her wholeheartedly and also messaged the person who owned the video. In the end, it made me feel honored about being some sort of tool in giving design ideas to people interested in nail art. I may have stopped updating my Youtube channel for a long time now, but I still check comments and messages regularly. It never fails to make my day.

Have a happy week ahead, everyone! ♥♥♥

Pearls and Mustard

Another thrift find like this pretty mustard cardigan will be abused again. I love how the color instantly brightens up my complexion as well, or... maybe that's just me.

Almost two years ago, our office had a very strict business casual dress code, hence, I had to gear up on formal accessories as well. I had tons of necklaces like this, pictured above. And now that the dress code has lowered down a few notches, I seldom had the chance to wear them. But last week, after sorting out all of my old accessories, I realized that I have to show them love once again. :)

Hope everyone is having a good day. :) ♥♥♥

Manila and Milani

A few weeks back, I sent this photo to this website called Burgers and Nails. It's a Tumblr site that features photos that include... you guessed it... burgers and nails. :) It's like a food and nail porn site! LOL!

And today, my photo was finally published!!! ♥♥♥  Check it here. :D

"Manila, and Milani.."

LOL!

I liked how the blog admin mentioned that.

Have an awesome week ahead! ♥♥♥

Sunny, Rainy, Crazy

I can still clearly remember mentioning that I will let my shorts and skirts rest in my closet, since the rainy season has started in the country. But I'm pretty certain that summer just came strutting by this morning that I was forced to wear this sorta outfit to work. Yes, it was sweltering hot during my commute and guess what... when I finally arrived to my office, the clouds were already dark, which was partnered by clashes of thunders.

WELCOME TO THE PHILIPPINES, YA'LL! :P

So it's finally Friday! Yay! Can't wait to sleep a lot tomorrow. :D

Have a relaxing weekend to all.♥♥♥

First Come, First Serve!

The lovely pearl details. They are perfectly stitched so it stays put.

I got this shirt from my favorite thrift store.

I was checking out this rack of clothes, which probably stretched about 10 feet long. While doing so, my eye caught glance on this shirt being checked out by another lady (who's actually dressed in a gyaru outfit - cute!), and was situated in another rack across the room. She intently looked at it, even tried to "fit" it by placing it against her torso. I was thinking, damn, I should've started with THAT rack first. Oh well. BUT THEN, my heart literally skipped a beat (okay, that was too much, but you get the point - LOL!) when she returned it back to the rack! Guess she didn't like it after all? Good for me, 'cause I do.♥

True story. :)

It's mainly the wet season here already, so my shorts adoring phase must be put into a halt. Will embrace my jeans and leggings for now.

Happy Thursday to me and you! ♥♥♥

Missing Summer

Oh how I miss the sun, it's glare, and all the "good" things that go with it. The rainy season has officially started in the country and it was even ushered in by Falcon, the typhoon that just swept Manila. :(

Anyway, to counteract the so-called bed weather, I was inspired to use summer colors for my nails so I can be reminded of the fun memories I've had during the sun-worshiping season.

And these are the amazingly adorable colors I used.

Ahhh... It's Monday once again. So far, my day is going OK. I hope to carry on with this disposition until Friday. Heeeheeeheee.♥

Have an awesome week, everyone! ♥♥♥

Fading Flame

Finally, the flaming color started to fade a bit. Red wasn't really my dream hair color. I mean, I like red hair. I just don't think it would suit me. So when my hair turned out Hayley Williams-ish last week, I sorta silently screamed for I know that's not the color I want.

Here's what it looked like today:

Still reddish, but not so bright anymore. :P

Photo without flash.

Since last Saturday, I've been using hair masks and olive oil on my hair alternately, everyday. I use the hair mask every morning after shower, and olive oil before I go to bed. As for the latter product, I apply a good amount on my scalp till the ends of my hair. I then use a vinyl shower cap to cover my hair, sleep on it, and rinse with warm water in the morning. :)

I'm doing this in preparation for another dyeing session this weekend. I don't want to fry my hair so I'm conditioning and moisturizing it thoroughly before having it soaked in harsh chemicals again.

My mom likes my hair this way. Heeeheee. :) But no, I will not succumb to that idea. I still want to go darker for the second half of the year.

Happy humpday Wednesday to all. ♥♥♥

First Crush ♥

Lovely color, isn't it? I love that Caronia, a Filipino brand of polish, is starting to have more of these gorgeous pastel colors in their collection. When I first started buying polishes from this brand, they only had the basic colors such as red, white, black, brown, gold and silver. Now, I can confidently say that they already have the colors that can be great (and inexpensive) dupes for OPI. Seriously. I have never even bought a single bottle from the latter brand, since I find them really expensive. But I'm not gonna lie that I often check out the testers from their counters because they have an amazing color collection.

Another thing I love about Caronia is its pigmented formulation. Would you believe that I only had one coat of polish in these photos?♥ Saves you time AND money. :) Awesome. :)

I sincerely hope everyone is doing well today. There's a typhoon here in Manila and I wish I could snuggle in bed with a huge mug of hot chocolate... but I'm here at work. Boooo! :(

Happy week to all!♥♥♥

Bargain Accessories!

See the VENTE tag? Yes, it's only 20 pesos! :D

Been looking for something like this for the longest time!

This is such a classic. I always use this to work.

Don't you just love mismatched earrings like these?! <3

Adorable 50-peso rings from Quiapo.

Would you believe that this is just for 50 pesos?

Love stacking this with gold or silver bangles. It just adds a pop of color.

Gloomy weather outside. Summer has indeed ended. And yeah, heavy traffic everywhere since the school year just started. I missed school. :(

Anyway, one way to battle the blues (at least for me ~ LOL!) is a little retail therapy. And discovering super inexpensive accessories like these is like celebrating my birthday and Christmas at the same time. :) I really wish I could get more, specially those 20-pesos earrings. They are really such great deals. Now I really need to get a nice accessory organizer (or maybe just make one?) to shelter my babies well. Suggestions? :)

Oh, and speaking of retail therapy... I just got 10 tops today from a thrift shop! Each only cost 80 pesos. I looooove that new thrift shop. Will definitely be back there soon. :) I just finished washing 'em so I'll be lazing around the whole afternoon while chatting online with the boyfriend who is at work. LOL. TMI?!

Anyway, I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. It's a long weekend for Filipinos today, but I guess not for me since my employer isn't Filipino. :( Oh well, will just look forward to the holiday pay. :D

Happy weekend! :) :) :)

Red Head

So this was my hair color this morning.

Then, wishing to go darker, I used this.

And this was the end result!

I'm not complaining, though. LOL. I didn't expect it to be this red, but I still like it. Although I'm not gonna stop on my quest of having darker hair. Probably will dye again after... 1 week?! Is that safe? Suggestions please. :) Thanks!

I've been neglecting this happy place called Blogger for the past few weeks now. I truly regret it. I missed reading blogs, checking outfit posts, updating myself with what's new, getting nail art ideas, etc. But I'm back now. Will definitely delegate more time with this.

It's Friday todayyyyy!!! And I'm excited to go thrift shopping tomorrow. :) There's this thrift shop in our area that recently became my favorite. One day I shopped a bit too much (LOL!) from the store, and before I left, the store manager told me that I can leave my contact number with them so they can inform me through text if they have their new arrivals. Soooo thrilled. And the other day, they just did!

Hope everyone will have an awesome weekend ahead.♥♥♥

LOLCat Fever

Seriously, how can you not love these photos or maybe this website if it's not for these adorable balls of fur?! *^^* Just wanna squish them so baaaad... (do not that though, LOL!)

I wanna share my own version. Heeeeheeeeheeee! :D

Everyone, meet Eds, our 2 month old hyper kittie. She's always running around here and there, thinking that all objects in front of her is asking her to play. LOL.

The photo was taken using a camera phone, hence, the poor quality. I really should start taking lotsa pictures of Eds using a proper camera for better images.
